The blog "Motor Development: Research and Applications" aims to discuss theoretical and practical aspects of motor development research and ways that these aspects can be connected and applied in the field. It also intends to share ideas and tips for activities related to motor skill development and learning in typically and atypically developing children. These activities can be used by educators, therapists, clinicians, and other professionals that are are interested in movement. Because movement is such a big part of infancy and childhood, I believe anybody working with children is involved in motor development somehow
This blog was created as an attempt to connect the theory and research in the field with daily applications of motor skill development. There are plenty of manuscripts being published every day, but their goal is (usually) not to connect directly with the practice in a clinical or educational environment - which, by the way, are the most important environments.
* All posts published here portray only my view as a specialist and researcher in motor development, as well as other views and opinions of guests that are experts in the field. These views might not necessarily represent the beliefs or opinions of all experts in the field.
